We offer a wide range of treatments including:
Acupressure
An ancient style of bodywork based on the Chinese meridian system. Many patients think of it as acupuncture without needles. Instead, finger pressure is used to help release armoring patterns found throughout the body. A specific condition may be the focus or a general balancing protocol. Several of the therapists have over a hundred hours of training in a specific form of acupressure, as well as years of mentoring with fellow acupressurists and acupuncturists.
Acutonics
Similar to acupressure, acutonics uses tuning forks instead of finger pressure on the acupoints. It is a phenomenal way to establish a connection with your entire body. Clients often times report feeling the vibration at locations far from the tuning forks placement. Useful in the treatment of swelling, bruising, and muscle spasms, it is a great way to get tuned into your body.
Ashiatsu
An incredibly deep massage with Swedish massage style strokes. The therapist uses bars suspended from the ceiling to moderate the depth of pressure, so she can use her feet to massage your aches and pains away. This is an experience that is a must for the massage enthusiast who enjoys deep pressure.
Craniosacral Therapy
Light touch is used to release the connective tissue between the bones in the skull and the membranes which encase the brain and spinal cord. This can induce a deep state of relaxation. A fantastic technique for chronic headaches, sinus problems, whiplash injuries, the medically frail, or those who do not want deep tissue type treatment.
Deep Tissue/Sports Massage
A type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement. This is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.
Hot Rocks
Your stress melts away with the deep, penetrating heat of this modality. Perfect for tight muscles and stress reduction which provides an alternative to deep tissue therapy.
Injury Treatment/Medical Massage
Most insurance plans require either a prescription or a referral for massage. If your provider has prescribed massage, we'll work closely with her/him to provide you the best possible course of treatment.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
Specifically designed technique to remove unwanted toxins, edema, and inflammation from tissue bruised by surgery, accident or disease. This gentle relaxation massage helps promote cellular growth. Acne skin, post-traumatic injuries, post-surgical trauma, scar tissue, cellulite, and edema can also be relieved by MLD.
Pregnancy Massage
Body cushions allow the mother-to-be to be placed in a face down position without putting pressure on the abdomen. This takes pressure off the low back and provides a comfortable position to stay in for an extended time. Receiving a pregnancy massage can help relieve discomfort and offer relaxed nurturing.
Reflexology
An effective holistic therapeutic foot or hand massage. Gentle finger pressure is applied to reflexes in the feet and hands that correspond to body areas in need of healing. Soothes aches and pains and helps relieve stress and tension. Each person's response varies widely and treatment frequency depends upon your specific health needs.
